Job purpose:
This is a full-cycle, new business-focused role ideal for an experienced Internal Sales Executive (ISE), reporting directly to the Sales Manager. The ISE will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, converting both self-sourced and inbound leads from marketing and driving GP growth. Their focus will be on exceeding sales targets and expanding Checks Direct’s market presence within their assigned industries. The ISE will primarily focus on generating new business but will be expected to own, proactively manage and grow any accounts they successfully win.
Main responsibilities:
- Proactively prospect via cold calling, cold emailing, virtual networking and social platforms to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Engage with clients and prospects via phone, virtual meetings and online communication channels to drive sales.
- Utilise digital sales tools and strategies to consistently meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Build and nurture relationships with third-party providers, introducers and industry influencers through virtual channels.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging competitors and potential shifts in the market landscape.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify new opportunities and tailor targeted sales pitches.
- Drive sales cycles and effectively present our value proposition to key decision-makers via phone and virtual meetings.
- Manage all aspects of the sales process, including prospecting, qualification, objection handling and closing.
- Work with Company & Group resources to ensure a coordinated approach to targeted prospecting efforts.
- Capture and relay customer feedback to relevant internal teams for continuous improvement.
- Develop a strong understanding of our Checks Management System and services, including their applications and benefits.
- Gain a deep knowledge of our capabilities, unique selling points (USPs) and differentiators in the market.
- Ensure all stages of the sales cycle are effectively managed to deliver the desired outcomes.
- Identify and manage risks in sales activities and report them promptly and appropriately.
- Accurately forecast, track and update sales pipeline activities using HubSpot.
- Foster positive relationships with all internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams. While this is primarily an office-based role, the ISE may occasionally be asked to represent Checks Direct at conferences, seminars, industry events, and business networking opportunities, as needed by the business.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Proven track record in telesales, with a focus on new business development and full-cycle sales.
- 2yrs relevant experience in a demanding telesales, ‘sales hunter’ role.
- Experience in prospecting, qualifying and converting leads through phone, email and virtual channels.
- Proficiency in business prospecting and pipeline generation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and prospects.
- Ability to tailor messaging to different stakeholders and build rapport remotely.
- Experience building and maintaining long-term client relationships, particularly remotely.
- Ability to handle objections and close deals effectively.
- Willingness to develop a comprehensive understanding of Checks Direct products and services, with the ability to articulate our value propositions.
- Ability to quickly grasp and communicate new product offerings or industry changes.
- Willingness to continually learn about new sales strategies, tools and market trends.
- Proficient in using CRM systems (preferably HubSpot) to manage pipeline, track sales activities and forecast.
- Familiar with digital sales tools for outreach, virtual meetings and managing sales cycles.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple leads and opportunities concurrently.
- Experience in exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Self-motivated with a drive to exceed expectations and contribute to business growth.
- Good knowledge of compliance and the DBS market, industry trends & competitors.
- Experience in vetting related legislation including that of the Disclosure and Barring Service, Rehabilitation of Offenders act would be highly advantageous.
- Ability to manage relationships with third-party partners, introducers, and influencers.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes in the market or sales environment.
- Experience in collaborating with internal teams, such as marketing and product teams, to align sales strategies.
