A-Level Success for New Directions Employee
New Directions has been in operation almost 20 years. Throughout this time our team has employed some fantastic individuals who have helped shape our business. This summer we employer Tayler Hayes during the summer break whilst she waited patiently for her A-Level results. Tayler has worked with our team previously during breaks from her study. This year we all waited nervously to find out how she had faired with her A-Level results.
Name: Tayler Hayes
Age: 18
School / College: Sir Thomas Richs, Gloucester
A-level subjects and grades achieved: AAA in Politics, English and Philosophy
Future education plans: Politics and Sociology joint honours at University of Bristol
Future ambition post university (if known): Human Resources (I think!) I could change my mind.
Has working at ND helped you in any way, if so how?
Yes definitely! Last year I worked with HR and really got a feel for it. Also has been great to gain ‘office environment’ experience, working in a team.
Will you be coming back to work here during non-term time?
I would like to, so If it was possible, yes.
Biggest tip to students of the future?
I think it’s vital you know you will ENJOY the subjects you choose to do, otherwise coping with the stress of exams will be even harder. Genuinely being interested in your subjects makes research and essay writing a lot easier, that way you’re more likely to do well.
Tayler works within the Group Operations team for New Directions. Speaking about her success, Cathy Jones, Group Operations Manager said ‘We are so very proud of Tayler. It is wonderful to see young people really achieve in whatever field they pursue. Hopefully Tayler will be one to watch for the future’.
