Providing a New Direction for 20 Years
April 14th 2014 saw New Directions Ltd celebrate 20 years of working within the recruitment industry.
The Company which was originally set up in London in 1994 has seen massive changes during those years including relocating their head office to Cardiff.
From humble beginnings the Company has grown to ten offices across England and Wales employing over 100 employees. The past 20 years has also seen the Company branch out into new areas of recruitment including Social Care, Education, Domiciliary Care and Pharmacy.
New Directions Ltd was set up by Jeff and Zoe Tune, to help signpost people into employment in a variety of different roles. Jeff commented “The 14th April 2014 marked a historic milestone in the story of our company as twenty years ago New Directions was formed.
Things have changed considerably over those twenty years and I am grateful to everyone who has helped us grow over the period. Some of the people that have aided our success may no longer be with us but I will always be grateful to everybody who has contributed to the company’s success.
Although I tend to always look forward and embrace change it is nice to recognise that an extremely small recruitment company whose owners had dreams could one day end up realising them.
I have to say that I have just as much enthusiasm for New Directions now as I did twenty years ago. The excitement of turning up to work has not diminished, and neither have my dreams for the company”.
The Company has not only grown in size and revenue it has also become one of the most recognised companies in the sectors it works in, achieving preferred supplier status with many of the businesses it works with.
New Directions has also won many awards and accolades including being recognised as a ‘Fast Growth 50’ company consecutively for four years, a finalist in the Orange business Awards for two years and more recently in 2012 being recognised as a ‘HOT 100 Recruiter’ by Recruiter magazine. In 2013 the company was also listed in the London Stock Exchange Group’s ‘1000 Companies to inspire Britain’.
