New Directions presents ‘Santa’s Grotto’

The festive season is upon us, and what better way to get into the Christmas spirit than by visiting Santa’s Grotto! This year, Lambourne House is excited to welcome families in Cardiff and Abertillery to join us for a magical experience. 

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, we’re making this event bigger and better than ever. Our Santa’s Grotto is completely free of charge and fully funded by New Directions, along with our wonderful sponsors: Blend Telecom, MGY, Educ8 Training, DWA, Phil Hanlon – Transformation Coach, and Inspire Green. 

A Heartfelt Tradition 

The Santa’s Grotto at Lambourne House first opened its doors in 2022, and what a magical start it was! In our inaugural year, we welcomed 178 children, each experiencing the joy of meeting Santa, telling him their Christmas wishes, and receiving a thoughtful gift. The smiles and laughter we saw were heartwarming, and we knew from that moment that this event would become an important part of the local community’s holiday celebrations. 

In 2023, we were determined to spread even more festive cheer, and thanks to the generous support of New Directions and our amazing sponsors, we more than tripled the number of children we welcomed! A total of 582 children visited Santa’s Grotto, making it a year to remember. The response was overwhelming, and we couldn’t have been more excited to see so many happy faces. 

Looking Ahead to 2024 

As we enter our third year of hosting Santa’s Grotto, we’re aiming to spread Christmas joy to even more families across Cardiff and Abertillery. This year, we plan to welcome an even larger number of children, creating unforgettable memories for local families and ensuring that everyone who visits leaves with a smile on their face. Our team is working tirelessly to bring the magic of Christmas to life, and we can’t wait to see the joy on the faces of all the little ones who visit. 

What to Expect at Santa’s Grotto 

Santa’s Grotto at Lambourne House is designed to create a truly enchanting experience for children and their families. Little ones will be able to meet Santa in his beautifully decorated grotto, where they’ll have the chance to chat with him, share their Christmas wishes, and, of course, receive a special present! This event is perfect for children of all ages, and we ensure that each visit is filled with warmth and festive cheer. 

In addition to meeting Santa, there will be plenty of opportunities for families to take photos, enjoy the decorations, and soak in the holiday atmosphere. Whether you’re visiting Lambourne House in Cardiff or ND Care & Support in Abertillery, you’re sure to be transported into a winter wonderland that’s bound to leave you with cherished memories.
