Formby High Receive International Citizenship Award!
Two years ago the fifteen students from Formby High school took part in an expedition to help less advantaged communities of Africa. During the last two years the school has supported various fund raising activities to raise awareness of the purpose of their trip. In August this year the 15 students had a month long expedition to Tanzania and have worked extremely hard building the foundations for a school canteen, digging waterholes to sustain wildlife, tree planting as part of conservation and boat building.
The group were awarded the very prestigious International Citizenship Award. The award was presented to the group by Lord Malloch Brown during a ceremony at the Philharmonic Hall Liverpool.
