Over The Moon
Pupils at Ysgol Maes y Morfa in Llanelli have recently had the opportunity to look at and handle meteorites which were collected during NASA’s manned space missions to the moon during the 1960s and 1970s.
The lunar samples were provided by the UK’s Science and Technology Facilities Council and are some of 382kg of material brought back to earth by Apollo astronauts.
The pupils were thrilled to learn more about the space missions and handle the objects.
