Gunter Primary School go to London
New Directions Education Birmingham have helped a team of year 6 and 7 pupils head to England’s capital city. The team from the ‘second city’ donated £440 to support the cost of taking the trip. In an open letter from Kaitlin Raybone, an 11 year old pupil from the school, she thanks the team for giving them the opportunity to:
- Take three different tube trips
- Visit the science museum
- View Big Ben, the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament, Westminister Abbey and the Cenotaph.
Kaitlin also explains how she and fellow classmates visited Downing Street and got to peak inside. They had a rare opportunity to visit the cabinet rooms, and were very excited to capture a glance of the Ambassador of Qatar.
Our Birmingham office comments: ‘We are overwhelmed by the wonderful letter we received from Gunter Primary School. It is a real honour to invest in the education community within Birmingham. Giving opportunity to learn through experience, we recognise is of paramount importance to a young persons education’.
