New Era at Ty Croes Primary School

Ty Croes Primary School has welcomed a new Head Teacher to the School Mr. Elfed Woods who has replaced Mr. Paul Mainwaring who retired at the end of the last academic year. The School are a category ‘B’ School one of the only category ‘B’ Schools in the area so Mr. Woods is extremely excited about this challenge being welsh speaking himself. A positive problem the School are facing is the influx of pupils and the high demand for places within the School; proving it to be a modern and popular School to attend.

The School are currently focusing on a swimming programme which has taken up the majority of time during this first part of the School term. Elfed is used to being a teaching Head Teacher so is finding this new position very interesting and rewarding and is taking as much time as possible to get to know all of the pupils within the School.

New Directions Education are supporting this new and exciting time at Ty Croes Primary School through our ‘donate a day’ initiative. Our new Primary Account Manager, Kelly Sheppard will donate a day of her time out of the office to assist the School in their swimming activities.
