New Hub Announced for Leading Recruiter
New Directions Education have announced the appointment of a new ‘hub’ within their central office to support the work of the recruitment team who link up with schools and colleges across the UK.
The team, led by former Teacher Meilir Tecwyn who will be assisted by Montana Hooper will work to drive processes to ensure the smooth registration and clearance of supply staff looking to work within the education sector. We caught up with the team to find out a little bit more about their plans for the future.
Tell us more about the hub…
The hub will become a centre of excellence for candidate registration and compliance procedures. We are all too aware of some of the issues facing the recruitment sector with compliance and ensuring that our supply staff are cherished. The hub will set out clear working links with our teams to ensure clear and open dialogue. Hopefully this will mean our processes are quickened and more efficient than ever before.
What is the biggest change to your processes?
The biggest change will be for us as a hub helping understand suitability for a role – ensuring that references match experience and getting supply staff signposted to the right Account Manager, the first time. The essence is all about speed, but with overriding quality at the core. We are physically moving out of the individual teams we all currently sit in and will work in a central pod within the office to share knowledge and best practice.
Will you be working closely with the award-winning Compliance and Quality Assurance Team?
The Compliance Team will essentially remain our ‘auditors’. Of course they hold the expertise and have put in place rules and regulations that have safeguarded our business for a very long time. We will work closely with them to seek advise and guidance to ensure standards never drop.
What will this change essentially mean for our candidates and clients?
Our day within the office will change and ultimately be much more varied than ever before. This new hub will ensure a more consistent communication process for the schools and candidates we work to support directly from within the education team. Some schools and supply staff may not have this level of accessibility from their agency, as always we are striving to be thought leaders in making the whole supply experience more professional, yet personal than ever before.
In three words, sum up the New Directions Education Hub…
Dynamic, collaborative and honest
