Our commitment to continuous professional development continues…
New Directions Education works to align support to our candidates and clients beyond the recruitment service we offer. We are dedicated to the development of our staff and we want to ensure that the schools we work with benefit from the best supply across the UK.
Howard Burge, National Director for our organisation explains more:
“We often talk about how isolating the world of supply can be for our staff. For many – it’s a defined choice they take to work day-to-day – it affords them flexibility and variety. For others it is a ‘foot in the door’ to find the type of environment that they want to work within. Our responsibility is not only in finding them suitable assignments, but also in future-proofing them as they continue to work supply”
Howard continues “We recognise the importance of investing in our supply staff. This year we have launched our state-of-the-art training facility in our Cardiff head office. This is a dedicated 100 seat training and conference centre where we will focus on up-skilling our supply staff to ensure that they remain in tune with what is happening developmentally within their sector”.
Our teams across the UK are reflecting this model within their own office spaces. As the Easter holidays approach, we are investing in more training than ever before. Our teams are running the following facilitated training sessions:
• Mindfulness – Cardiff
• Personal Safety and Behavioural Management – Wrexham
• Exam Invigilation – Wirral
• Manual Handling – Cardiff
• Team Teach – Cardiff
Gary Williams, Director of Business Development continues “there are exciting plans afoot for our supply staff, with access to more free training than ever before. We are formulating a programme of events that will be CPD accredited so that staff can keep abreast of up-to-the-minute curriculum-based training and add to their own portfolio”.
New Directions Education will be releasing more dates and information in the near future about our training programme for our supply staff.
