Croesyceiliog School Rugby and Football Team go on tour
Croesyceiliog School Rugby and Football Team are currently embarking on an exciting tour of Germany this week, from 17-22 July. Led by Marcus Sainsbury, Head of Physical Education at the school, the young team has travelled to Stuttgart and Munich to take part in a rugby and football tournament with other local schools.
For some of the 53 children involved, this experience is their very first sports tour and an exciting opportunity to represent their school outside of Wales. For this reason, Dan McGrath – Account Manager for Croesyceiliog School – was passionate about offering the team support and encouragement on their tour.
New Directions Education offered the squad some vital sponsorship towards their brand-new tour kit, to help ensure that the team will look their best throughout the tour and to make sure that they have a memorable trip to Germany. Dan has worked closely with Croesyceiliog School over the past five years and as an avid rugby player and fan, he was keen to encourage participation in grassroots sport and to see the children have a successful tour of Germany.
At New Directions Education, we understand and value the importance of sport in helping young people to develop life skills such as teamwork and communication. This sports tour will be a valuable opportunity for the children from Croesyceiliog School to visit Germany and experience a new culture, alongside competing in the sports they love.
Dan commented, “I am really pleased and excited to have the opportunity to help Croesyceiliog School with this year’s sports tour. I hope it’s a great experience for all involved and wish them the best of luck!”
We are sure that the team will have a fantastic time on their travels through Germany and everyone at New Directions Education wishes the best of luck to team #Croesytour2019
