Completing Induction through Supply work

This session will support you to better understand your responsibilities for completing your Induction as an NQT. The process will be the same, no matter where in Wales you chose to complete Induction, and during this webinar you will become more familiar with your regional consortia connections and programme.

About Rebecca Roach

Rebecca has worked with the Central South Consortium (CSC) Induction team for the last three years following a passion for mentoring and supporting Early Career Teachers.

Before joining CSC, Rebecca taught Dance, Performing Arts and PE for 22 years and led a highly successful Performing Arts Faculty before joining SLT as an Associate Assistant Headteacher in charge of Teaching and Learning. Rebecca has also enjoyed roles as Senior Mentor for ITE students, FSM co-ordinator, MAT co-ordinator and Lead for School Parliament and Pupil Voice.

Rebecca’s main aim has always been to help pupils enjoy learning and find a way to express themselves and nurture their talents.

In her current role, Rebecca is passionate about supporting teachers at the start of their career to ‘thrive, not just survive’. Training high quality mentors is one of the keys to successful support for NQTs and forms an important part of Rebecca’s role at CSC.
