David is the Head of Fitness to Practise for the Education Workforce Council. In this role he has operational responsibility for the Fitness to Practise functions.

David took up his role in November 2020. Prior to joining EWC David had worked in education for 26 years with the last 14 years of that time being spent employed as a senior official with a teacher trade union.
