This SEND school caters for students aged 3 – 19 years with a wide range of Complex Needs including associated medical needs and challenging behaviours. All pupils have a statement of educational needs and an Education Health Care Plan.
Job Description
This Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting SEND children in the classroom and on a small group basis and working with class teacher supporting the children across various activities, while providing a happy and safe learning environment.
This welcoming Special School boasts outstanding facilities and caters for pupils aged 3 to 19 with a wide variety of SEND including complex medical needs, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism and Speech Language & Communication Needs (SLCN). Experience and understanding of a range of SEND is necessary and knowledge of skills such as alternative communication techniques and manual handling would be beneficial.
Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
