Are you Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge? Do you hold a Level 2 or a Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning – and what to make a positive impact to students in your care? New Directions Education is proud to be supporting a fantastic primary school in Sale that is looking to add a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to their ranks – on a temp to perm basis from November. This role would be suitable for an existing Level 3 teaching assistant or a Level 2 teaching assistant looking for promotion.

Responsibilities of the role included but are not limited to:

• Have excellent communication skills.
• Be able to build strong relationships with students and staff.
• Be encouraging and supportive.
• Have a positive attitude towards teaching and aiding children’s development.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the student.

Job Specification:

• Supervise and provide learning support for children in small groups and on a one to one basis
• Deliver targeted intervention in phonics and basic number to children across different key stages
• Support teaching and learning in the classroom
• Assist with the development of individual education and behavioural plans setting challenging expectations for pupils to achieve learning goals.
• Establish trusting relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs and personalities.
• Encourage pupils to interact with the class and engage in activities.

Person Specification

• Hold a Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning
• Experience of working in a classroom based setting
• Be outgoing, fun and engaging
• Willing to support children of all abilities and needs
• Have a positive and ambitious attitude to learning
