Position: Year 5 Teacher
Location: Birkenhead
Start Date: December 2024
Contract Type: Full-time, temporary basis

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Year 5 teacher to join a primary school in Birkenhead starting in December 2024.

Key Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons for Year 5 students
– Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
– Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students

Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably with Year 5 students
– Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential

Your role as a Key Stage 2 (KS2) primary teacher in the age group of your speciality will be varied and at times challenging. But we doubt you’ll find a more satisfying career where your main objectives will be to develop the children and prepare them for the next stage.

As a primary school key stage 2 teacher you’ll be expected to:

  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • Maintain discipline
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
