SEND Primary Teacher – Part-time Cheetham Hill, Manchester 8.30-12.30 (5 mornings a week) January 2025 £425-£550 Per Week (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)
Are you a specialist SEND teacher? Do you have experience teaching in a special school or a SEND class/ provision? Are you looking for a part-time role, 5 mornings a week – in a role that makes a real difference? If so, New Directions Education has the role for you.
Our partner primary school in the Cheetham Hill area is looking for a committed part-time SEND teacher for their newly opened resource base. Catering for learners EYFS, KS1 for an array of speech, communication and language needs. The role is 8.30-12.30, 5 mornings a week – from January. This is a temp to perm role, meaning you would start on a supply basis through New Directions before transitioning onto contract with the school thereafter.
This well staffed, resourced provision – is looking for a committed SEND teacher who is looking to make a difference to the school community!
As a SEND Teacher you’ll be expected to:
To have a solid understanding of SEND;
Organise the classroom, learning resources and support staff to create a positive teaching environment.
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation.
Maintain discipline.
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupil’s development.
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area.
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
Working closely with SENCo and outside agencies to ensure the best provision
To apply the candidate must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience of teaching in a SEND school or a SEND class within a mainstream school
Knowledge of SEND
An understanding of PIVATS
Able to provide Referees
An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
Eligibility to work in the UK.
