Stockport
January 2025 – July 2025
£600-1100 per week (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)

New Directions Education are working with an outstanding Secondary School based in Stockport who are looking for a progressive and supportive English teacher to join their team. This will be a long term role starting in January until July. We are looking for a strong and enthusiastic teacher of English who can deliver inspiring lessons across KS3 and KS4. Applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed and induction support will be available.

As a Teacher of English you’ll be expected to:

• Hold a PGCE and UK QTS
• Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
• Maintain discipline.
• Lesson Planning and overseeing parents evenings
• Be enthusiastic, flexible, creative and ambitious
• Have a passion for teaching secondary English
• To deliver English lessons to groups of pupils from all abilities across ages 11 – 18 according to their educational needs and levels of ability.
