Job Description

Position: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Wallasey
Contract: Full-time, KS1
Start Date: January 2025 (Ongoing)

A wonderful opportunity has become available at a primary school in Wallasey for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their Key Stage 1 (KS1) team. This full-time position is set to commence in January 2025 and is ongoing.

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide one-to-one and small group support to KS1 students
– Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
– Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
– Support students with special educational needs and disabilities
– Collaborate effectively with the teaching team and parents

Requirements:
– Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant in a primary school setting
– Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum and strategies to support learning
– Ability to build rapport with children and provide emotional support
– Good communication and teamwork skills
– Relevant qualifications or training in education support

  • Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
  • Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
