Health and Social Care Teacher
St. Helens

£31,650 – £49,084 (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)

This good Secondary School based in St.Helens are looking for an engaging and supportive Health and Social Teacher to join their outstanding team. This will be a long term role starting immediately through until the end of the academic year with the possibility to go permanent. We are looking for someone who is dedicated and committed to achieving the best results across KS4 and KS5. Evidence of achieving successful outcomes at KS4 is desirable and ECTs will be considered for the post.

As a Health and Social Teacher you’ll be expected to:

  • Hold a PGCE and UK QTS
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
  • Maintain discipline.
  • Lesson Planning and overseeing parents evenings
  • Be enthusiastic, flexible, creative and ambitious
  • Have a passion for teaching secondary Health and Social Care
  • To deliver health and social care to groups of pupils from all abilities across ages 11 – 18 according to their educational needs and levels of ability.

The Successful Health and Social Care Teacher must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience Of Teaching Health and Social Care
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Able to provide Referees.
  • An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Passionate about teaching Health and Social Care
