New Directions are delighted to be working with a fantastic network of Primary Schools across Greenhithe and surrounding areas in North-Kent.
We are looking for Teaching Assistants for day-to-day, short-term and long-term placements – working with children in both 1:1 and group capacities.
Working as a Teaching Assistant on a supply basis is an excellent opportunity to both work flexibly and embrace the spontaneity of supporting different schools in nurturing young minds.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers with classroom activities and provide essential support to students across different subjects.
Work with small groups or individual students, offering personalised attention to help meet their learning needs.
Help manage classroom behaviour, fostering a positive learning environment.
Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEND) to ensure inclusively and engagement in the classroom.
Assist in preparing learning materials and classroom resources.
Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and help identify areas for improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational growth.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility and adaptability in supporting different subjects and age groups.
Prior experience working in a school setting (preferred but not essential).
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
