Do you have experience working with pupils who have Additional Learning Needs (ALN)? Are you able to support children to fulfil their capabilities?

We are looking for passionate individuals who are willing to work across our ALN schools within the R.C.T area. We want candidates who feel confident to work with a range of different needs, striving to make children’s school experience a fun and safe environment, giving them the tools to reach their full potential.

A care or teaching background is desirable for this role as well as a calm demeanour and the ability to adapt to the quick changing environment.

working hours 8.30-3.30. flexible part time and full time roles.

Job Specification

To work in an Additional Learning Needs (ALN) role you will need:

• A relevant teaching qualification
• Ideally experience working in an ALN environment
• Recent experience in a classroom environment
• An excellent track record
• Good knowledge of the national curriculum
• Strong interpersonal and people management skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term.

We are always looking for candidates who have particular experience in working with children classified as having:

• Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Dyslexia
• Dyspraxia
• Multi-Sensory Impairment (MSI)
• Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
• Profound and Moderate Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH)
• Severe Learning Difficulties
• Physical Disabilities (PD).
