New Directions are delighted to be working alongside schools in the Caerphilly area, who are seeking Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA’s) for daily/long term cover.
This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to take on a higher level of responsibility within a supportive environment to motivate and encourage students to show ambition, maximise their potential and embrace all aspects of school life and to develop a wide-ranging skill set.
We expect you to exhibit a passion for raising student expectations and achievements by performing the requirements below:
Delivering pre-planned lessons to ensure continuity of Education during Teacher absence.
Supporting pupils’ learning activities.
Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
Working collaboratively with Teaching staff and contributing to the planning and preparation of activities.
Providing feedback to Teachers on pupils’ progress and any issues encountered.
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening.
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
