Job Description

Our exceptional secondary school in West Lancashire is looking for a forward-thinking and supportive Science Teacher to join their dedicated team after the Easter Holidays with the chance of going permanent in the new academic year. This is a wonderful opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic educator eager to inspire and engage students across KS3 and KS4. As a Science Teacher, you’ll be responsible for delivering dynamic and captivating lessons that foster a love of science. You’ll also support students in developing their linguistic skills, helping them enhance their speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities. Our school is proud of its inclusive staff and welcoming, friendly environment.

As a Science Teacher you’ll be expected to:

  • Hold a PGCE and UK QTS
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
  • Maintain discipline.
  • Lesson Planning and overseeing parents evenings
  • Be enthusiastic, flexible, creative and ambitious
  • Have a passion for teaching secondary Science.
  • To deliver History to groups of pupils from all abilities across ages 11 – 18 according to their educational needs and levels of ability.

The Successful Science Teacher must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience Of teaching Science
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Driving License
  • An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Passionate about Education
