New Directions is proud to work in partnership with a reputable network of primary schools across the Maidstone area. We are currently seeking dedicated and proactive Learning Support Assistants who are passionate about making a positive impact on young learners’ educational journeys.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to support children with varying learning abilities, helping them achieve their individual goals in a supportive, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-class support to teachers across a range of subjects, enhancing the learning experience for all students.
Work with individual pupils or small groups to deliver tailored learning support based on specific needs.
Assist in managing classroom behavior and promoting a calm, productive learning atmosphere.
Support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
Help prepare teaching materials and resources as directed by teaching staff.
Offer regular feedback to teachers on pupil progress, development, and areas requiring additional support.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A strong commitment to supporting children’s learning and well-being.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work effectively within a team and respond to changing classroom needs.
Previous experience in a school environment (preferred but not essential).
A current enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
