Exciting Opportunity: Level 2 Teaching Assistant Needed in Wirral

A welcoming primary school located on the beautiful Wirral is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team! This role focuses on providing 1:1 support for a Year 5 student, making a significant impact on their learning journey.

Position: Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Wirral
Role: 1:1 Support for Year 5 Student
Contract Duration: Starting ASAP until Summer 2025 (with the possibility of extension)

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide tailored support for a Year 5 student, promoting their academic and social development.
– Assist with daily classroom activities and ensure an inclusive learning environment.
– Support the student with speech and language development, utilising effective strategies to enhance communication skills.
– Collaborate closely with the class teacher and other professionals to track progress and tailor approaches.
– Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere to help build the student’s confidence and engagement.

Requirements:
– Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
– Experience in working with children, particularly with speech and language delays, is beneficial.
– Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with students.
– A proactive approach to supporting diverse learning needs.

Job Specification

Teaching, Learning or Classroom Assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.

We specialise in recruiting Teaching Assistants (TA) who are qualified in the following;

• NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant
• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant
• Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
• CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education
• BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing).

We’ll also consider experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

• Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
• Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
• Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
