Cheque Donation for St Asaph VP Infant School
In November 2012 over 400 homes in St Asaph were flooded when the River Elwy broke its banks.
The flood left many people displaced. The local community rallied around to help each other through one of the most difficult times the city has been through.
St Asaph’s Infant School held a Christmas fayre to help fund raise for the local community. The school has a close working relationship with New Directions Education based in Wrexham who were more than happy to help the school with their fundraising efforts. Jenna Whittam, Branch Manager for New Directions Education presented the school with a cheque of £100.
Jenna commented ‘it is amazing to see how people rally around when the worst happens, when we heard about the community fundraiser we felt it was important to be part of it’
The PTA and St Asaph VP Infants thanked New Directions Education for their kind donation, and were delighted to receive the cheque.
