Liverpool’s January Employee of The Month

Posted on

The first month of the New Year has been a great month with some fabulous nominations from Liverpool and Wirral but our lucky winner is Victoria Phillips – Wallasey School.

Debbie Lidgett, Cover Manager at Wallasey School put forward Victoria’s nomination and said ‘I would like to nominate Vicky Phillips – again. Vicky has been our Performing Arts Department pretty much all on her own since April 2012. She is currently on a maternity leave cover going through to the summer. Vicky has put her heart and soul in to raising standards in dance and drama, and also into the students’ enthusiasm and passion for the subjects.

I know the students have greatly appreciated her infectious personality and enthusiasm to dance especially in the many forms Vicky caters for. The teaching staff have also benefited from Vicky’s time here at Wallasey School as she offers a fitness class after school regularly, and I know the number of participants have increased greatly as word has spread.

Vicky has also given her time voluntarily to help with the schools current production of Sweeney Todd http://www.wallaseyschool.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/sweeney-todd-poster-copy.jpg

It feels like she is a permanent member of staff as she has been here for so long and we’ll be very sorry to see her leave when the time comes. We are expecting record breaking results from her current crop of GCSE students on the back of all the hard work Vicky has put in to this post. She would be a very worthy winner in opinion”.

Account Manager Kevin Mercer is delighted that Vicky has won Employee of the Month for January 2013 at long last, as she had narrowly missed out on previous occasions.

Kevin commented “I have known and worked with Vicky for more years than I care to remember. We have excellent feedback for her from all the schools we have ever placed her in including St Marys Catholic College, Wallasey School, Weatherhead High School, Neston High School and South Wirral High School amongst many others. Her energy and ‘never sit still attitude’ puts a lot of people to shame – I don’t know where she finds the time to cram all the things she does in to her days. Vicky has raised the bar of expectations of supply staff in schools with her endeavours and she is highly respected amongst her peers as well as students. It’s about time she won this as she has been exceedingly close on previous occasions. Having Vicky on our register is a major benefit to me and she is a pleasure to work with”.

Vicky asked for £25 worth of Ikea vouchers for something for her house which New Directions Liverpool was more than happy to provide.

Congratulations again to Vicky on her Employee of the Month award.
