New Directions Education are currently seeking ALN Teaching Assistants to join our supply team in Flintshire. This role offers flexibility, competitive rates, and the opportunity to work in a variety of schools supporting children with diverse needs. Due to the nature of the role, the client has requested male TAs specifically for this role, however anyone is welcome to apply.
Key responsibilities:
Providing tailored one-to-one or group support for students with ALN
Assisting with personal care when required (this is to your discretion)
Supporting students to achieve their personal and academic goals
Building trust and positive relationships with pupils and staff
Encouraging independence and confidence in the classroom and beyond.
Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people with ALN (Preferred, not essential)
A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
Patience, empathy and the ability to remain calm under pressure
Flexibility and adaptability to work in various schools
A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Or willingness to obtain one)
Relevant qualifications (eg. Level 1/2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are advantageous.
