New Directions are looking for a calm, resilient, and caring Behavior Support Assistant to join a dedicated school based in Bootle. This is a key role supporting pupils who may display challenging behavior due to social, emotional, or mental health needs. You’ll work closely with staff and pupils to provide consistent, positive behavior support—helping every child to feel safe, valued, and ready to learn. This role is working with secondary ages pupils.
Responsibilities of the role included but are not limited to:
Have excellent communication skills.
Be able to build strong relationships with students and staff.
Be encouraging and supportive.
Have a positive attitude towards teaching and aiding children’s development.
Ensure the safety and well-being of the student.

Job Specification
Have experience working with children, or adults, with additional needs
Hold a L2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
Able to support children of all abilities.
Have a positive and ambitious attitude to learning.
