New Directions Education are one of the preferred suppliers to schools and we are extremely busy. We are looking to increase our bank of Design Technology Teachers. We have long and short-term, full time and part-time vacancies available. You will be based in a secondary school providing education for pupils aged between 11-18 in the Swansea area.
The work available is flexible and you are able to state your preferred days of work, the areas that you can travel to and the key stages that you prefer to work in. We have day to day and long term placements available.
Supply is a great way to build relationships with schools, and if you are looking to sure a permanent role, you can use supply as a working interview, your time to shine.

As a secondary teacher you’ll be expected to:
Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism including food technology and engineering if possible.
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Maintain discipline
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
