Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant

Full-Time | ASAP
£425-£450 per week (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)

New Directions Education is looking for a dedicated Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for an early years pupil with autism (ASC). This fantastic opportunity is in a welcoming primary school at the heart of North Manchester, with excellent transport links via bus, train, and car.

About the Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant Role:

• Provide personalised 1:1 support to a Reception pupil with autism.
• Foster a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
• Work closely with the SENDCo and class teacher to implement tailored learning strategies.
• Encourage interaction and participation within the classroom.
• Support the child’s academic, social, and emotional development.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience with autism (ASC) and speech & language needs.
• A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A positive, patient, and encouraging approach.
• Experience in education and training settings.
