Job Description

Position: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Trained Teacher
Location: Birkenhead
Contract: January 2025 to Summer 2025

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Trained Teacher to join a vibrant primary school based in Birkenhead. This position is available from January 2025 until the end of Summer 2025.

Key Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of EYFS students
– Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment conducive to early childhood development
– Collaborate with teaching assistants and parents to support the holistic growth of young learners
– Implement the EYFS framework effectively to promote children’s social, emotional, and academic progress
– Conduct assessments and provide feedback to monitor and enhance student achievement

Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and EYFS training
– Experience teaching in the Early Years Foundation Stage
– Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and best practices in early childhood education
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
– Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning styles and abilities

  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation;
  • Maintain discipline
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area;]
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly in smaller schools and day-nurseries
