Exciting Opportunity at a Secondary School in Crewe!

Location: Secondary School in Crewe, Cheshire East
Start Date: ASAP until July 2025
Duration: full-time, 8:30 am – 3:15 pm

Are you a skilled Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with experience working with students on a one-to-one basis and a knack for supporting students with challenging behaviours? A welcoming Secondary School in Crewe is seeking a compassionate individual to join their team starting ASAP until the Summer term in 2025.

Key Requirements:
– Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant OR experience working with children
– Ability to effectively support students with challenging behaviours

Role Responsibilities:
– Work closely with students on a one-to-one basis
– Implement strategies to support positive behaviour and academic progress
– Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to ensure the student’s needs are met

Teaching or classroom assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.

We specialise in recruiting teaching assistants (TA) who are qualified in the following;

  • NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant
  • NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
  • CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education
  • BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing)

We’ll also consider experienced learning support assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

  • Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
  • Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
