Learning Support Assistant, Vale of Glamorgan

Job Description

New Directions are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our agency to work as Teaching Assistants in the Penarth area. The successful candidates will support the classroom teacher and work closely with students to promote a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities-

• Assist classroom teachers in preparing and delivering lessons
• Work with small groups of students to reinforce learning and provide additional support where necessary
• Help to maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
• Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and materials
• Provide one-on-one support for students with special educational needs
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required

Requirements-

• Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards learning
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A commitment to promoting equality and diversity
• A willingness to undergo training and professional development
• A Level 2 or 3 qualification is advantageous but not essential
