Job Description

Are you a compassionate and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with a background in managing challenging behaviour? A Wallasey-based primary school is searching for a dedicated individual to join their team immediately to work one-on-one with a Year 6 student. This role will initially involve mornings only, with the potential to transition to full days.

In this role, you will be supporting a Year 6 student with challenging behaviour, providing personalised assistance and guidance to help them succeed academically and socially in the classroom setting.

Requirements:
– Proven experience working with students exhibiting challenging behaviour
– Ability to establish a positive rapport with students and provide effective support
– Strong behaviour management skills
– Flexible and adaptable approach to meet the student’s needs

We’ll also consider experienced learning support assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:

• Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
