New Directions are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team on a supply basis. If you are passionate about education and enjoy supporting children in their learning, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Job Description: As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant on supply, you will be working alongside teachers to support the delivery of the curriculum and help children reach their full potential. Your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the planning and delivery of lessons.
Supporting children with a range of learning needs, both in groups and on a 1:1 basis.
Helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Supporting children’s personal, social, and emotional development.
Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a safe learning environment.
Providing feedback to the class teacher on student progress and development.
Requirements:
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
Previous experience working in a primary school setting (ideally in a similar role).
Knowledge of the national curriculum and how to support children in their learning.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive and flexible approach to working in a dynamic school environment.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
Ability to build strong relationships with children and staff.
