Due to a high demand, we are currently looking for teaching assistants with a passion for supporting and building relationships with students for a variation of different long-term roles.

Within these roles you will be expected to support students with various special education needs. Therefore, adaptability, reliability and patience are critical.

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide one-to-one support to a child
– Assist the child in their learning and development
– Manage challenging behaviour effectively
– Collaborate with teachers and parents to create a positive learning environment

Key Requirements:
– Previous experience working with children or in a care/ support role
– Experience in managing challenging behaviour
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach

Teaching or classroom assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:

  • Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
  • Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
  • Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
