Part-time SEMH Teaching Assistant Trafford Part-time (2 days a week) ASAP £180-£200 Weekly (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)
Do you have experience of working with students with SEMH needs? Do you have experience working in SEND/ SEMH Schools or mainstream schools with students with additional needs? Are you looking for a part-time, longer-term opporunity in a great school? If so, the following role could be for you. New Directions are proud to be supporting a SEMH School in the Trafford area that is looking for a Part-time SEMH Teaching Assistant 2 days a week ASAP until the end of the academic year. This role is supporting in various small specialist classes across KS3-4.
Responsibilities of Part-time SEMH Teaching Assistant included but are not limited to:
Have excellent communication skills.
Be able to build strong relationships with students and staff.
Be encouraging and supportive.
Have a positive attitude towards teaching and aiding children’s development.
Ensure the safety and well-being of the student.
Job Specification:
Supervise and provide learning support for students in small groups and on a one to one basis
Assist with the development of individual education and behavioural plans setting challenging expectations for pupils to achieve learning goals.
Establish trusting relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs and personalities.
Encourage pupils to interact with the class and engage in activities.
Person Specification
Have experience working in the care, youth work, coaching or education sector
Be outgoing, fun and engaging
Willing to support children of all abilities and needs
Have experience of behaviour management and deescalation
Have a positive and ambitious attitude to learning
Experience in the education and training sector
