New Directions are looking for an inspiring and committed Religious Education Teacher to join our dynamic team in a school in St. Helens starting after the easter holidays for a long term role. As a Religious Education Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that promote spiritual, moral, and ethical understanding. You will have the opportunity to work with students of diverse backgrounds and beliefs, helping them to develop a deeper understanding of various world religions, values, and traditions. The school are dedicated to fostering both academic excellence and personal development, with a strong emphasis on moral and ethical growth. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join our team and contribute to our vibrant school community working with children in KS3 and KS4.
As a Religious Education Teacher you’ll be expected to:
Hold a PGCE and UK QTS
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
Maintain discipline.
Lesson Planning and overseeing parents evenings
Be enthusiastic, flexible, creative and ambitious
Have a passion for teaching secondary Religious Education
To deliver History to groups of pupils from all abilities across ages 11 – 16 according to their educational needs and levels of ability.
The Successful Religious Education Teacher must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience Of Teaching Religious Education
Knowledge of the National Curriculum
Able to provide Referees.
An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Passionate about teaching Religious Education.
