School Caretaker, Flintshire

Job Description

New Directions are currently looking for reliable and motivated School Caretakers to join our supply team, to help schools in Flintshire. This is an excellent opportunity to work flexibly and contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in various facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning an maintainance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting
• Ensure facilities are secure, including locking and unlocking premises as required
• Conduct routine checks on building systems and report any maintenance needs
• Assist with minor repairs and handling equipment safely
• Respond promptly to any emergencies or special requests
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

About you:

• Previous experience in a caretaker or similar role is preferred but not essential
• A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently
• Good communication and time-management skills
• Flexibility to work on a supply basis, including occasional evenings
• Basic maintenance or DIY skills are an advantage
• A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Or willingness to obtain one)
