New Directions are currently seeking Learning Support Assistants to work in Secondary Schools around the Blackwood and Newbridge areas. LSA’s are in high demand for both full time and part time vacancies, supporting both generally and on a one to one basis in this area.

We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic LSAs to support with children who have Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and to also encourage the pupils to interact with the class and engage in activities. Daily tasks can involve getting the classroom ready for lessons, helping children who need extra support to complete tasks and supporting teachers in managing class behaviour.

It is important to have good communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to teachers and pupils, knowledge of the curriculum, active listening skills and have compassion and sensitivity towards children.
