About the Role:
As a Supply Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to teachers and students in a variety of secondary school settings. This flexible and varied role will give you the opportunity to work across different schools and year groups, assisting with classroom activities, supporting students’ academic progress, and ensuring a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in delivering lessons, supporting students with their learning needs.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may require additional help.
Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive, productive learning environment.
Support students with SEN (Special Educational Needs) where required.
Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources.
Provide feedback to teachers and help track students’ progress.
Promote students’ personal, social, and emotional development.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with secondary school-aged students (preferred but not essential).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive and proactive attitude, with a passion for supporting student development.
Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from teaching staff.
Adaptability and flexibility to work in different school environments.
