Specialist SEND Teacher
Medway

£120 – £150 Per day (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)

We are working on behalf of one of our SEND Schools in Medway, seeking a passionate, highly qualified, and resilient Teacher with a strong background in teaching children with SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and be committed to making a positive impact.

Both experienced Teachers and ECTs (Early Career Teachers) are welcome to apply.

As a Specialist SEND Teacher, you’ll be expected to:

  • Plan, implement, and deliver tailored educational lessons to support the curriculum area of each student appropriately.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher and/or form tutor.
  • Facilitate and encourage a positive learning experience, providing students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
  • Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and achievement.
  • Share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for the personal and academic development of children and young people.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, counsellors, support staff, and social workers, to provide holistic support.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs.

To apply for this SEND Teacher role, you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Knowledge of teaching in a SEND setting
  • The ability to provide referees
  • An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
