We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our dynamic team at a School in Northwich. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed to supporting students in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs in and out of the classroom.
– Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
– Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
– Collaborate with teachers and other staff to adapt lessons and materials to meet individual student needs.
– Support students in developing their social, emotional, and academic skills.
– Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and staff.
Ideal Candidate:
– Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role, preferably with secondary school students.
– A strong understanding of various special educational needs and effective strategies for support.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
– A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude towards challenges.
– Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
