Job Role: Supply Teacher
Location: Rochester
Pay Rate: £120-£200 per day
Start Date: Immediately

We are currently looking to recruit Teachers in Rochester and the surrounding areas to work for us on a long-term supply basis in order to keep up with the growing demand for teaching staff. We are looking for experienced teachers as well as those towards the beginning of their career in education. Graduates who are considering the teaching profession in the future and are looking for experience/work in secondary schools are also encouraged to apply. Whether you are available 1 day a week or 5 days a week, we would love to hear from you.

As a supply teacher, all teaching materials will be set for you upon your arrival at the school, and you will be expected to work through the lesson plans that have been set whilst helping the students with any questions they may have. The ideal candidate to work for New Directions as a teacher will be confident, academically lead with a personable approach and a ‘can do’ attitude. Ideally you will already have a valid DBS in place on the update service. If not, we can support you with applying for a new DBS.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status, or previous experience teaching.
• Extensive knowledge of the National Curriculum.
• Ability to effectively develop the confidence, language, behaviour and social skills of pupils between the ages of 11-18.
• Quick thinking with the ability to adapt with ease to new environments  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents effectively. 
• A good understanding of behaviour management and how to implement this into your practice.
