Manchester
April 2025 – July 2025
£600-1125 per week (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)

New Directions Education are working with an outstanding Secondary School based in Manchester who are looking for a progressive and supportive English teacher to join their team. This will be a long term role starting in September through until Christmas. We are looking for a strong and enthusiastic English teacher who can deliver inspiring lessons across KS3 and KS4. Job Specification

Whether your speciality is language, literature or both we recruit a variety of roles in English Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).

As an English Teacher you’ll be expected to:

  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • Maintain discipline
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
