Location: Salford

Salary: £600-1200 per week (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)

Job Overview

We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of History to join one of our esteemed partner secondary schools in Salford. This role is starting in September 2024 until at around May 2025 as it will be covering a member of staff on maternity.

As a Teacher of History key responsibilities will include

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging History lessons to students across various age groups and abilities.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages students to explore and express their creativity.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the History curriculum and integrate cross-curricular themes.
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular History activities, exhibitions, and events.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential.
  • Experience: Proven experience in teaching History or Humanities at secondary level is preferred, though highly motivated newly qualified teachers are also encouraged to apply.
  • Skills: Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with a passion for sports.
