Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and creative Teacher of Religious Studies (RS) to join one of our partner secondary schools based in Salford. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to nurturing a love of Religious Studies in students of all abilities, and the ability to inspire and engage them in creative and innovative ways. The role will start in September 2024 until at least the end of the academic year. We expect the role to go permanent for the right candidate.

As a Teacher of Religious Studies key responsibilities will include

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging RS lessons to students across various age groups and abilities.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the art curriculum and integrate cross-curricular themes.
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular art activities, exhibitions, and events.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working within schools in essential.
  • Proven experience teaching art at the secondary level is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of artistic techniques and mediums.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.
