New Directions are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a long-term position at a Primary School in Sevenoaks.
The school is in a lovely area and is known for its commitment to its core values and excellent standard of teaching, having most recently awarded a “good” Ofsted rating.
The school is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support its Early Years Class – a level 3 Teaching Assistant or Childcare qualification is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers with classroom activities and provide essential support to students across different subjects.
Work with small groups or individual students, offering personalised attention to help meet their learning needs.
Help manage classroom behaviour, fostering a positive learning environment.
Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEND) to ensure inclusively and engagement in the classroom.
Assist in preparing learning materials and classroom resources.
Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and help identify areas for improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational growth.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility and adaptability in supporting different subjects and age groups.
Prior experience working in a school setting (preferred but not essential).
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
